At Knutton St Mary's C of E (vc) Primary School we believe that education should be concerned with enabling every child to reach the highest possible level of individual attainment and achievement. The school mission statement supports this fundamental aim by clearly summing up what our children, parents, governors and staff want our school to stand for:

From this single statement, the aims of our school have been carefully thought out to give a clear indication of what we wish to achieve. They are important to our school organisation and guide and support all that we set out to achieve.

• To provide a broad, balanced and stimulating curriculum which will enable all children to become numerate, literate and equipped with the necessary skills to meet the demands of the future.
• To foster high expectations and to promote high aspiration through the development of a stimulating and high quality learning environment.
• To promote Christian values within the school community, encouraging qualities of good citizenship within our church foundation and enabling pupils to become respectful and tolerant members of society.
• To develop each child to their full potential, ensuring equality of opportunity, irrespective of race, creed, colour, ability or gender thereby promoting a fully inclusive community.
